How Hypnosis Helps Heal Chronic Symptoms

What is Hypnosis?

#1 Myth of Hypnosis: No one can be hypnotized without wanting to. There is no such thing as mind control. I know many think of hypnosis as someone getting on stage and being “hypnotized” by a performer. While that is fun to watch, clinical hypnosis is something completely different.

Hypnosis is really a self-regulation or relaxation technique using your own creative imagination to change the physiology or functions of your body.

For example, if someone has pain or a headache, hypnosis can be used by this person to actively decrease their own headache pain in that moment.

The definition of hypnosis “is a state of inner absorption, concentration, and inner absorption - a trance state”

Hypnosis is Our SuperPower

We as human beings are already in trance states all the time every day-it is our natural innate quality. It is our superpower we were born with. For example, if you play sports or run, you have those moments where your mind is very present, focused and engaged to perform at your optimal level.  This is your very own trance state.

Hypnosis is a state of consciousness that uses more of your potential to perform better, it is the ultimate act of self-control, an enhanced capacity for response to suggestion and experience suggested alterations in your own physiology, sensations, emotions, thoughts, behavior.

During hypnosis, we intensify our awareness. We become receptive to new ideas and associations where we can rewire and reframe our body's networks. We can use hypnosis to alter alter our human experience and health.

Our own imagination is so powerful and when you practice hypnosis at least twice daily that are tailored to your own goals, you can create desirable health changes.
