Whole-Food Smoothie Bowls
Blueberry-Banana Smoothie Bowl Recipe
Delicious and simple made from real-food ingredients. Have it for breakfast, lunch, a snack or dessert.
Ingredients for smoothie base
1 frozen banana
1/2 cup frozen blueberries
1 large handful spinach
1 cup almond milk (add more or less for desired thickness)
1 scoop vanilla or chocolate protein powder
Add-ins - pick and choose any of these!
1 tsp Ground cinnamon
1 tsp Ground ginger or small knob of peeled, fresh ginger (we use fresh ginger frozen in small ice cubes for convenience)
1 tbsp fresh, ground flaxseed
1 tbsp chia seeds
1 tsp maca powder
1-2 tbsp cocoa or raw cacao powder
1 tbsp nut butter
Toppings for your bowl
Granola (homemade recipe here)
Dark chocolate chips or chunks
Unsweetened coconut flakes
Cacao nibs
Extra blueberries, strawberries, banana slices
Drizzle of honey
Directions:
Blend your smoothie base and add-ins
Place in freezer to thicken if needed
Top it up and enjoy!
