Whole-Food Smoothie Bowls

Blueberry-Banana Smoothie Bowl Recipe

Delicious and simple made from real-food ingredients. Have it for breakfast, lunch, a snack or dessert.

Ingredients for smoothie base

  • 1 frozen banana

  • 1/2 cup frozen blueberries

  • 1 large handful spinach

  • 1 cup almond milk (add more or less for desired thickness)

  • 1 scoop vanilla or chocolate protein powder

Add-ins - pick and choose any of these!

  • 1 tsp Ground cinnamon

  • 1 tsp Ground ginger or small knob of peeled, fresh ginger (we use fresh ginger frozen in small ice cubes for convenience)

  • 1 tbsp fresh, ground flaxseed

  • 1 tbsp chia seeds

  • 1 tsp maca powder 

  • 1-2 tbsp cocoa or raw cacao powder

  • 1 tbsp nut butter

Toppings for your bowl

  • Granola (homemade recipe here)

  • Dark chocolate chips or chunks

  • Unsweetened coconut flakes

  • Cacao nibs

  • Extra blueberries, strawberries, banana slices

  • Drizzle of honey 

Directions:

  1. Blend your smoothie base and add-ins

  2. Place in freezer to thicken if needed

  3. Top it up and enjoy!
