Healing Moms through Whole Child Wellness

Carissa Stanton, MD is a pediatrician who provides holistic care for children to make them more well, not just less sick. She cares for the whole child by integrating nutrition, functional and general pediatric medicine. She has a bachelors of science degree in dietetics and a medical doctorate degree.  She completed a residency and board certification in General Pediatrics.

She has training in nutrition and integrative medicine that she obtained outside of the traditional medical training. Besides her undergraduate degree in nutrition, she did online pediatric integrative medicine training through the University of Arizona. She takes this passion and knowledge of nutrition and integrative medicine and applies it to helping families and children be more well.

She is a business owner and mom to 3 teenage girls. Despite her busy schedule, she makes wellness a priority for her family. She applies her knowledge to keeping herself and her family well through a whole food diet, supplements, mindfulness, and clean living lifestyle.

After working for 10 years in the managed care system, she struggled to provide the care she wanted to give. It became more apparent that families need individualized holistic healthcare for their children, so she opened her own direct primary care practice: Mindful Pediatrics.

She is a gem in the Kansas City community providing home health for children to keep the family well and prevent sickness. She is one of the best pediatricians I know (and I've worked with many at the national level!!!).

She touches on how to take care of the whole family and supporting the mother through medicine of the mind, body, spirit, and environment.

Not only did she graduate first in her med school class, become a surgeon, and switched to pediatrics, but she has a Bachelor's degree in nutrition and has taken so many courses in pediatric integrative medicine.

She talks about:

1. nutrition including macronutrients and micronutrient needs of the child

2. how the child's spirit when misaligned can manifest in disease

3. how moms can take the steps necessary to engage in self-care

4. her favorite cleaning product!!

5. her top nutritional supplements for the child

6. Vaccinations and chemicals

HIP Members Club

P.S. We are launching the Health Is PowHer Members Club November 1st! Sales sign-up page will go up the last two weeks of October, just around the corner.

We will provide so much value including a monthly webinar recording, workbook, challenge or assignments, and private facebook group where the HIP team shows up a couple times per week to coach on our wellness topic theme of the month.  Our first theme of the month is going to be “letting go of limiting beliefs and removing barriers to healing.” This will be our foundation of working through our health goals and setting up success for the next wellness topics of the month, including nutrition, sleep, stress relief, etc..!

It will be so incredibly inexpensive!!! $27 per month for founding members for life (and it will double by early next year to about $50/month). And to have a triple-board certified physician with years of personal and clinic experience overcoming chronic pain and multiple illnesses including autoimmune disease as the lead wellness coach one on one would cost more than $600 per month (so kind of a big discount you’d be getting). Not to mention a holistic health nurse and personal trainer, Anne Clark, and Master's level integrative and functional medicine dietitian, Randy Evans as part of the coaching team!

Sign up for the waitlist on our front page and we'll send you an email when the sales goes live!

If you love the episode, please subscribe, drop us a review and rate us at iTunes, Stitcher, or Spotify!! This helps us reach more people who need and want this information. And we can't do it without YOUR help!
